SANSIRI ACQUIRES LAKE COMO EDITION FROM BAIN CAPITAL AND OMNAM

Sansiri Capital, the hotel investment arm of Thai real estate developer Sansiri Public Company Limited, has acquired the five-star, 148-room Lake Como Edition in Italy from American private equity firm Bain Capital and London-based real estate investor and developer Omnam Group, for an amount reported to be over €200 million (€1.4 million per room). The property is situated in Cadenabbia on Lake Como’s western shore, directly opposite Bellagio. The hotel includes two restaurants, two bars and three meeting rooms. Bain and Omnam acquired the former Hotel Britannia Excelsior in October 2021 and undertook an extensive renovation, reducing its room count from 285 to 148 before reopening it under the Edition brand in March 2026.
